Given the times, it was inevitable that Packard would abandon its expensive and slow-moving V-12 (only 446 were built in 1939). Therefore, for 1940, Packard consolidated its assembly lines and began manufacturing higher-end Packards, such as the 1940 Packard Dallin One-Eighty Victoria.
