Hyundai first made its name in the US in the 1980s as a brand of affordable Korean small cars, but its reputation really took off when it introduced a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty to boost confidence in the brand.
On the other hand, Volkswagen has been selling cars in the U.S. for over 70 years, and offers a wide variety of models, from cute cars (such as the Beetle) to sporty cars.
