2024 Volvo V60 T8 EAWD Polestar Engineered Goes Beyond The Past

Volvo got it right when it debuted its latest generation Polestar-massaged V60 station wagon. However, the plug-in hybrid had a slightly lighter EV mileage, and its performance was not comparable to its gasoline-only predecessor. Now, with some additional tweaks, his revived V60 T8 eAWD Polestar Engineered is finally putting up solid numbers. The V60 Polestar’s plug-in hybrid powertrain upgrade is shared with other Volvo models with the same underpinnings. This battery is equipped with a third row of cells and the usable capacity increases from 9.1 kW to 14.9 kW. At the same time, the power of the electric motor powering the rear axle increases from 87 hp to 143 hp. It also contributes 228 pound-feet of torque. His 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which previously featured a turbo and supercharger, ditched the supercharger for the added electric oomph. The improved turbo-only mill alone produced a healthy 312 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque, with total production now reaching 455 ponies and 523 lb-ft of torque, respectively.
