Auto Sales Expected To Continue Declining In The Second Half Of 2017

DETROIT — Auto sales are expected to continue to decline in the second half of the year, although they remain historically high, according to auto industry economists.

About 8.4 million new vehicles were sold in the first half of this year, down 2.3% from the same period in 2018. For the full year, sales are forecast to be 17.1 million.
