Buick Transfers Production Of Next-generation Compact SUV From China To The United States

  • Buick will transfer production of the successor to the Envision SUV, which is currently produced in China, to the United States.
  • The SUV shares a platform with the Equinox and will be assembled at the Fairfax plant in Kansas City, Kansas, which will also begin producing the Chevrolet Equinox in 2027.
  • GM has not revealed the name of the SUV, but production is expected to begin in 2019.
