The never-ending pursuit of improved fuel efficiency is currently hitting the three-row midsize SUV segment, with new plug-in hybrid versions (PHEVs) of popular models flooding the market. Many automakers are revising their previous products to meet the demand for premium PHEVs. For example, the Mazda CX-9 has been discontinued and replaced by the 2024 Mazda.
