The United Auto Workers union (UAW) has been on strike for more than a month, but the impact on the auto market has been limited. Union workers are still building most cars because the union has adopted an unusual staggered strike strategy. And since automakers had been stocking up on new cars to sell before the strike, dealers had plenty of cash to spare.
