Toyota announced late Thursday that it will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS), leaving few automakers left with a long-term commitment to combined charging systems (CCS), which are currently dominant in non-Tesla EVs. The battle is certainly won, as even the biggest resistance groups are publicly considering replacing them with NACS. NACS will be the charging standard that powers America.
