An August 2000 file photo shows Wally McCarthy at the Oldsmobile dealership in Litchfield. This location is now the headquarters of Best Buy. Mr. McCarthy entered the auto industry in 1949 as an accountant for a South St. Paul dealership and owned several Twins.
