Volvo to end production of diesel cars in early 2024

Volvo has announced that it will end production of diesel cars from the beginning of next year. The move is part of the company’s plans to sell only fully electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality as a company by 2040. The company decided to end production of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles in 2022 and sold its remaining ICE assets in November. “Electric powertrains are our future and are better than internal combustion engines.
