Volvo’s All-electric Vehicle Sales To Nearly Quadruple In June 2023

Sales of Volvo’s fully electric cars have exceeded sales of plug-in hybrid cars for the first time. Volvo Cars USA reported that its U.S. car sales in June rose 53% from the same month last year to 12,933 vehicles. Sales in the first six months of this year were 59,750 units (up 18% year-on-year). Sales of Volvo’s plug-in electric vehicles in June also reached 3,793 units (up 79% year-on-year), the second highest monthly figure ever. Rechargeable cars accounted for more than 29% of the brand’s total sales. One of the most interesting things is the sales of fully electric cars, which reached his 2,123 units (284% increase compared to the previous year). This is a new all-time record for BEV. Not only that, sales of Volvo’s all-electric cars exceeded sales of plug-in hybrid cars for the first time. PHEVs have struggled this year, which shows that we need to get used to a situation where BEVs are in charge. Volvo plug-in car sales last month: BEV: 2,123 (up 284% year-on-year), share 16.4% PHEV: 1,670 (up)
